The Search for the Anchor Abel Tasman

A documentary about the explorer Abel Tasman and the expedition for his anchor in the coast of Tasmania.

On December 4, 1642 the largest part of Tasman’s ship “Heemskerck”s anchor remained in the seabed off the south-east coast of Tasmania.

VOC and Tasman Kenner Grahame Anderson believes after 20 years of research that they are ready to surface the anchor. An interesting and unique journey to the only existing piece of the ship which Tasman sailed with.
