The People of the Funfair
De Mensen van de Kermis gives a clear picture of the life and work of funfair operators. Among others we meet the close-knit Hinzen family, where Minus, Agnes and Johan are forever looking for new opportunities. The series is about the romance of a travelling existence, but also about the hard reality behind it. Funfairs are fun, but the work is relentless — for better and for worse.
Over six episodes we follow the Reemer family from Bergen op Zoom, the Boesveld family from Alphen aan den Rijn and the Hinzen family from Roermond for a year.
