Justice Is Blind

For judge Romke de Vries and lawyer Esther Crombag it is always ‘night’, and every day they have to master an environment they cannot see. Both are blind and live in a world that is perhaps not so much dark or black as, in their experience, the colour of NOTHING.
Their disability has made fighters of them. Quiet fighters, in fact, since they overcome barrier after barrier without asking for applause. Again and again they have to make sure they keep up with the outside world, or stay ahead of it. If they were to let up, they would fall behind and their universe would slowly shrink.
